I think most folks on CU are probably aware of the awesomeness of Cafe Brioso, but I wanted to share a quick story.
I had a quick meeting there yesterday scheduled at 4pm, completely forgetting that they close at 4pm. There were still a few customers in the shop, but the employees were already starting to clean up and shut down as I walked in the door. I walked over to the register to see if it was too late to grab a coffee to go and found Carl (Read his Alive Feature HERE) had already closed the register and was doing the money/paperwork end-of-day type stuff.
I asked "Probably too late to grab a drink?"
He responds "Yeah, I've already started.... well... nah, I can get you something."
"Are you sure it's not too much trouble?" I ask.
"Nope, it's no problem. I can't ring you up though, so you can just pay for this one next time." he says.
"You guys are awesome."
So there you have it. Not only do these guys have some of the best coffee in town, their customer service goes beyond what I think most people would expect. The only other time I've ever been offered the option of "no worries, pay us later" was during my first trip to Bono Pizza when I didn't realize that they didn't take credit cards and Peggy Yerkes extended that wonderful gesture.
I highly encourage folks to support Cafe Brioso. This is a local business worth being proud of.
