Anyone live or know someone who lives at Brewer's Yard Apartments? I have a friend who is looking at the place, and wondered if anyone here had any personal experience with the place.
Looks pretty nice, and they have a stocked social calender with planned events and gatherings.

I contemplated an apartment there about a year ago but decided to go with somewhere else. They look nice, but I didn't want a whole lot of immediate neighbors (the kind on the other side of the wall/floor/celing), and they don't quite have the charm of other places in the German Village area. If your friend is used to living in an apartment complex though, then they'll probably love this place a lot.
The pool is a nice feature (especially right now when it's 90 degrees out).
Anne used to live nearby this place and she got a lot of noise from the train tracks, which run right behind Brewer's Yard. That would be a concern of mine. Being new places, there's probably not a lot of noise with windows closed, but if you like having your windows open, expect some noise. Front street can be noisy too, but being a block over probably reduces some of that.
