I've ended many an evening at the Treehouse with the bartenders (who are friends of mine and just about everyone else in there) yelling "GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE" at the top of their lungs to me and all the other hangers-on. Seems like the standard language for getting the message out.
I'm not a fan of someone getting physical though and shoving me out. The Treehouse doesn't employ anyone remotely considered to be a "bouncer" either. Those guys tend to fall squarely in the "people not like me" category.
I bartend at the tree and I don't like "Get the fuck out." I know it does happen, but I personally never use this (ok, if it's a bad vibe and seems like a possible DBag vs. Hipster fight is brewing, maybe I've announced it into the air. Not more than two occassions though.). I do tell people "You have 3 seconds to kill that or I gotta take it. Cmon - drink up freshman! Take it to the head!" around 2:22. This mock frat boy joke usually elicits a smile and the understanding that we're closing. We CALL last call at 2am - we serve beers till about 10 after and shots until about 2:15 (preferably no mix shots, because that's a major pain in the ass when you are closing out 50 tabs on one credit card machine, btw).
I don't get why people want to stay out past 2:30 anyway. If I've turned up the lights to "harsh as fuck" mode, you aren't getting any more drinks, the jukebox is shut off, and you are watching me file paperwork or clean or stock beer - how is that fun? That said, a bar with a TON of regulars and friends is hard to close when all 60 of em are hanging out. Apologies to Lew and Blammo if it's ever seemed directed to y'all. I've even kicked fellow employees out when the party's been too big at 2:15ish, but I've never used the F word to someone's face, let alone yelled it.
Skully's is a different kind of beast - there are usually a lot more beers to clear and the sheer size of it makes it easy to hide out and finish a last beer well after legal hours. They have to be vigilant as hell I bet. But escorting someone personally and yelling GTFO to their FACE is kinda shitty.
