Looking forward to thing getting straightened out and settled down. Many times when my dad comes to visit he asks if that neat pizza place is still open.. i have to disappoint him and say i don't know when/where they're open, if at all anymore.

who would ever guess that giving money to a crackhead would yield no return on your investment?
even if this dude did get a legit restaurant going, the health dept would have him shut down in no time. when i saw him he was cutting meat and veggies and rolling dough all on the same DIRTY fold out table with nothing under the items.
he'll never have a legit business because he's not a professional. plain and simple.

Truthfully, I do wish them well.

I saw Bill's new place on Tuesday, at that time there were still a couple things that needed inspected. The oven was in place and functional. Bill has a passion for pizza and I wish him well in pursuit of that. As for delays - many reasons for the delays. In comparison, Dirty Frank's was 1 year behind schedule and people seemed to respect that. So let's hope for the best, winter is a tough time for a start up. For those that "invested" in Bono - I know Peggy and Bill will do their best to get some return on investment to those that had faith in Bono. Any investment poses risk and does not guarantee a return. I say that as a person that made a contribution. I hoped for the best but was prepared not to see that money again.
On a related note, I would like to see a Don Rolando Pierogi pie as a special.

I've seen the new location. Oven was up and running. The place looked very clean and ready for operation as far as I could tell. He is waiting for the inspection to occur before opening.
I was told that the gift certificate amounts earned from the last round of donations will be honored.
With the false starts fresh on our memories, I'm as skeptical as any about any Bono news. However, I've seen the place. It's there and ready to go.

I'd say if the latest project doesn't get off the ground, the only acceptable answer is for all that money to come back to those that donated. That's just my opinion. However, I'm PSYCHED to hear that something is in the works to open soon. I still crave Bono all the time.

So the secret spot is inside that smokes/beer shop where the hotdog place was for a bit?
Posted 2 years ago # -
Yep, that's the plan. Bill asked that I hold off on announcing anything until 4pm today though, as they don't want to be overrun on Day 1.
The place seats about a dozen indoors.

Just got a call from Bill, who gave the go-ahead on the earlier announcement since the word was already out...
