Boot Lace Anonymous

Is you or someone you know addicted to boot laces? They wait patiently every morning for you to throw on your favorite pair of boots, and then you're accosted. What was a every day routine has turned into a insatiable thirst to paw at your boot laces. Trying to tie your shoes, sharp teeth grasping at the ends of the start of your day. What started so innocently as a "hey try this" has now turned into a unrepentant hunger that knows no bounds. I don't know if there is light at the end of this tunnel.

Feel free to share your pain and stories.

My cat's addiction isn't boot laces (although there is much love for all string'd objects), it's the light that reflects off my phone screen when I get up in the morning. I have a wall-mounted light by the bed, reflecting directly on the screen, creating a flash on the wall, sending the cat into a tizzy of hunting & wall attacking.

When I get up, he will literally meow at me until I grab my phone.

I clearly need a picture of this activity.

So after much deliberation I think I've discovered exactly how my large 20+lb maine coon gets down the stairs...

A mix of gravity and hope.

He doesn't take one step at a time, for him it's like base jumping. After the first step there is no return, just hope he can get his legs out in front of him to the next step, then the next ever faster -without biting it and rolling down like humpty dumpty.

It's both impressive and horrifying. I love him.
