The bison will roam western Franklin County in a few months.
Metro Parks is spending $155,000 for a fence at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park and $29,000 to hire TRIAD Architects to design an observation tower and shelter for the six to eight bison scheduled to arrive this fall.
It also is spending $35,000 for other site improvements, including a well and watering troughs.
