Bincho Taqueria Coming This Fall to Weinland Park

Kenny Kim and Misako Ohba (of Foodie Cart & Freshstreet Takoyaki/Yakitori) are hard at work on a new restaurant concept in a new location that will add a twist to the food they’ve been perfecting down the in the Brewery District. The result will be known as the Bincho Taqueria.

I don't believe so. They've been pretty resourceful with running multiple venues at once.
This new concept is also being done in partnership with the folks behind Commonwealth Sandwich Bar, so there's more resources from them as well.

It's good that they will have more resources. Whenever I see them they are always so busy and look like they are running on fumes (proving that they love what they are doing).

Taqueria's are awesome! Fast Cheap Authentic(most of the time) Mexican food! I still say they are better than Taco trucks. You could say that the potential quality of food is the same between the 2 types of venues, but I enjoy the atmosphere of a Taqueria when I have time to sit down at one.

Taquerias are just places that sell tacos. Some food trucks also call themselves "taqueria" - and I'd put Los Guachos gringa al pastor up against most anything served in any sit-down in town.
That is, until Kenny & Misako get this endeavor up and running! :D

I have never heard of these people or of Japanese tacos before. It sounds like I have been missing out. Is this the kind of thing people would drive across town for?

yes
If you want to meet them, go to Double Happiness on the weekends between 6 and midnight. Friendly people and really good food.

I spent my birthday this year with a small group of friends drinking Lychee cocktails at Double Happiness and munching on a wide assortment of yakitori from the freshstreet folks.
One of my favorite birthdays of recent years.
Personally, I'd say you're missing out. ;)
