I thought I would pass along a program that I really think would help downtown Columbus.

I discovered it when I had taken Tenzo to a small beach yesterday for a swim. The small beach had been expanded and was now "Ohio Street Beach", and unfortunatly official beaches are "No Dogs Allowed". The nearest dog beach was about three miles away. But then I saw this.
It's a really cool program where for $25 a month the first hour of rental is free and additional hours are $2.50 (you can do multiple one hour rentals all day). The coolest part is you can rent a bike, take it to the beach and park it at a kiosk, swim, pick up a bike, go to the grocery store, park the bike at a kiosk, shop, grab a bike and then go home and park it at a kiosk. All for the $25 a month fee (or $45 for 3 months).
The big concentration you see in the picture above is by a light rail station. People can get off the train, grab a bike, bike to work and leave it at a kiosk where they work.
All kiosks are solar powered, the bike has a built in GPS and you dont have to worry about it getting stolen.
