I just got tickets to Chris Rock today. We got Dave Attell and Greg Giraldo last week.
I guess I haven't been really paying attention to the comedians coming through town, but will definately from now on!

I go to be entertained. you guys act like all comedians use original acts and you couldn't be more wrong. Just watching comedy central you hear the same jokes from many comedians.
I liken it to when a band plays a cover of a song during a performance.
I go to laugh and be entertained cause laughter is good for the soul.
Now I'm not sayin carlos is the biggest and the best out there, just saying he's not alone. he's an entertainer, if he entertains you then what's the problem? if you have a problem, don't go, but don't single him out as the only one doing something that they all do.

One time I joke I KNOW I made up showed on on a sitcom. I was PISSED! More so because the sitcom was Will and Grace.

Just got back from Dave Attell, and it was a great show. I also liked the Capitol Theater, I've never been in it before.
He started out by making fun of downtown, saying he was staying downtown, and liked how we kept it deserted, much like a 'I Am Legend' meets 'Liberty City'.

Anne & I saw Lewis Black at the Funnybone a few years ago for relatively cheap (around $25 a ticket) but skipped him when he was back more recently at Mershon for around $40 a ticket if I remember correctly.
I enjoyed him a lot. His crazy ranting style has a better quality to it when it's live that doesn't come through the TV very well when watching his live performances. :D
