Had a great conversation at Comfest yesterday afternoon with good friends who live in VV (we are in IV) that centered on the question "if you could only live/work/play on one side of High Street, which would you pick."
Highlights for the VV side were the Press Grille, Mac Worthington's gallery (oldest in the SN I've been told but unconfirmed), and the Jackson development. IV counters with indie coffee shop Cup-O-Joe (Starbucks being seen as a negative), the front porch Holy Trinity of Haiku, LaFogata, and Union, and UDF (closest thing we could come up with to a grocery store.) Ibiza obviously was a negative for the IV side for now.
We really didn't come to an agreement so I thought I'd bounce it thru the CU community. We stayed pretty committed to High Street ONLY and didn't make this an Italian Village/Victorian Village contest. If BonoTOGO were still around it could be included, but we weren't sure that Tasi would receive the same consideration on the IV side.
