I'm returning to Columbus after some time in the greater Chicago-land area and am wondering what are the best bottleshops / liquor stores for craft beer selection?
I am anticipating living on the north side of town, (Sawmill & Hard Road area) so preferably stores up that way.

I'm very familiar with this location. Used to do most of my wine purchasing there. How is the selection at Trader Joes in that same area?

It is smaller, but well thought out.
If you want to drive a bit south Weiland's on Indianola has a great selection of beer, wine and spirits.

I was shocked to find a "craft beer island" at the Kroger's on Henderson, two aisles away from their usual Budmilloors cooler. The manager even put up a suggestion box for customers' desired choices at the top of the island.

Kenny Road Market has the best selection in my opinion, but like visiting Weiland's when shopping for beer and other things in one stop.

Palmer's, The Barrel and the Bottle (good deals on filling up your growler there), Grandview Carry Out, Gentile's, and Kenny Road Market are all good picks. Sometime take a roadtrip with some friends down to Jungle Jim's. You'll see some stuff you've never seen before (at least I did) and have a really good time with your beer buds who come along for the trip.
