Where do you think you can find the best hummus in the city? Here's my top 4 in the city.
1.) Happy Greek (complimented well by the warm buttery pita)
2.) Zeta (Really tasty carryout hummus that goes well with their pita...too bad no more gyros but still a great place!)
3.) Mediterranean Food Imports b/w campus and Clintonville
4.) Yannis (super garlic-y hummus...really tasty).

They served us hummus at the CU meetup there. I dunno if it's on the regular menu, but I agree that it was pretty awesome.

I like the hummus at Pita Hut too, but I don't know if it's my favorite. It's a bit more liquidy than I usually like.

I'm racking my brain with this one. I think I've had the hummus at Aladdin's, Barcelona, Elevator, Jimmy V's, Happy Greek, Taverna Opa, and Firdous. Aside from Barcelona's having a nice spicy kick, and Happy Greek and Taverna Opa serving some nice warm pita triangles, I can't remember any of them being great or terrible.
It's just chickpea baby food and sesame seed paste right?

Jimmy V's serves it's purpose, but it's not a "nice dinner out". It's one of the few places around GV you can watch a game, have a decent gyro, etc.
I'd never look at them as an actual restaurant as opposed to a sports bar though.
p.s. I do like the hummus at Easy St. a lot, and combined with a nice bowl of avoglemeno soup...ROCKS.

My friend ordered a draft Stella the other night and the server brought him a pint of something black. He told her Thats not a stella, what is it? She was thinking about it and he said Is it a guiness? and she said Yeah, thats what it is. So he said Thats fine, I'll drink that. I thought it was kind of strange because there was no head/cascade in the glass. Anyway, he took a sip after she left and said Thats not a guiness. When we asked him what is was he said it tasted like someone made a pint sized rum and coke yesterday and then stuck it in the fridge overnight to keep it cold. Very strange experience.
I've always like Aladdins' hummus but wish their pitas came warmed.

Semi-related/Funny Guinness Story:
Once at High Five I ordered a Guinness and while pouring the keg quit and they didn't have back up. Well behind the bar she set down this last Guinness and albeit maybe a little better than 2/3rd full Guinness pint, this fucking slag wouldn't sell me it...she just outright refused to sell it to me. She said something about oh what if someone orders a irish car bomb or some BS. Well after she dipped from behind the bar and I told the other bartender my dilemma, she just handed me that damn beer for free.
I mean I really wanted that Guinness damnit.
There is no moral to this story.
