So I want to see if anyone has any ideas they can share regarding the topic. I’m working on a fundraiser and the theme is the Olympics. I want to find a way of utilizing classic beer games to generate funds (flip cup, beer pong, etc). Also does anyone know of other beer games that I don’t know of? Other ways of generating funds are welcome as well. :)

When I went to college, my Frat had the annual Beer Olympics
Events were:
Keg toss
Beer chug
Beer suck (think of reverse beer bong)hmmmm
I can't seem to remember any more of them.
I do remember throwing up so hard after chugging a pitcher that it came flying out both my mouth and nose. TMI?Posted 3 years ago # -
Three Man is the only drinking game I care about.

I played this game called tap a lap once.
you put the tap from the keg in your mouth, turn it on and then run in circles around the keg until you fall down, see how many laps you can do.
it's great fun :)

One more orifice and it would have been TMI.Posted 3 years ago # -
Boat Race - basically 2 teams in a relay to finish a pitcher
Edward Fortyhands - players have a 40 oz taped to each hand, creating a good incentive to finish as quickly as possible, before being presented with the problem of having to pee, scratch your nose, or answer your phone, etc.
Movie game - all contestants must drink whenever a key phrase or event occurs throughout the movie (or tv show, song, etc.) One favorite is watching Dazed and Confused and drinking whenever Mitch touches his face or his hair. You will get drunk.
Lots of Card games - asshole, liar's poker, Up the River, etc.
I've got more, but I'm starting to feel alcoholic...

Two foties of malt liquor consumed quickly will rock even heavy drinkers. Hardcore.

TPS REPORT!That would definitely work. Good one!!
As for Edward Fortyhands, it probably is hardcore, but I've never tried it - only heard of it from my brother. I can't drink Malt Liquor like Billy Dee.I'm just gonna go ahead and throw this out there. If you ever attempt 40 hands, do it with Mickeys. After a few different experiences, that 1.3% alcohol difference between it and 211 means everything when you're at the bottom of #2.
Oh, and ALWAYS pee before hand.
Beerfest is the world's most obvious source for beer related games. And the Big Lewbowski is an EXCELLENT movie game with the word "Fuck."

girls get to do 22 hands though. no 40's for us because we are little.

At rugby parties in college, my favorite games were boat races (listed above) and dizzy bat races where you run about 15 feet, chug a cup of beer, lean down to put your forehead on a wiffle ball bat, spin around 10 times, and run back.
They were more fun to watch than to participate in, though. :)

I once held a Pot-Olympics on 4/20 when I was much younger.
I think the main event involved each person packing up their own piece and everyone got in a circle and we passed bowl after bowl.
It wasn't very energizing.

I've played that.
I drank em like a champ.
Then vomited.
I vomited a lot.

I had a friend who liked to "bowl and run" which involved an activity much like you said, and then jogging for a couple miles to a doughnut place.
You were always REALLY hungry and thirsty when you got there.

7-11-doubles was a fun dice game too (in the same class as 3 man).
asshole (with a few rule modifications to keep it fair) would be a great game to do a large fundraiser to - i would just have poker style signups (entree fee is the donation) and after 5 hands the person from each table who has been president most get to move on, with prizes given after rounds. ties could be settled by coin flip - no wait, that's too obvious... chug off. final table winner gets the grand prize. get sponsors to donate them.
man, wish i could have done something like this when i was the promotions guy at columbus alive. probably would have been a huge no-no tho. check with your organization for their feelings/legal stance on this.
if you need to stick with olympics as the theme, make each entrant represent a country, real or fake, and make this the main event among a few others.
pm me if you need more ideas. like i said, niche events used to be my thing.
