Going home on the 10 bus tonight, I had a conversation with a woman who claimed that she had been bitten by bedbugs on the bus three times in the past year - specifically, the 10 (which travels east-west along Broad Street), but also the 2. She attributed it to the amount of homeless that ride the buses, not just during the winter but year round. She's had difficulty getting COTA to look into it because, according to her, they don't know how to properly write up a problem like that. She told me that bedbugs have been on the rise within the past two years in Columbus.
She did not come across as a wacko; she seemed quite sane and rational.
Anybody else hear about this sort of thing lately?
