Metro Parks’ wish list adds to nature center’s cost — and its cool factor

By this time next year, visitors to Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park will be able to tour a nature center where they can learn about the area’s history and wildlife while watching bison roam the hillside.
Last year, Metro Parks officials thought that would cost $3 million. Now, the price tag is $5.3 million. And that doesn’t include the $838,300 cost for design and consulting work.
