BASS JAM~!!!
This is the first in a series of events My Best Friends Party will present combining the very best of jam / jamtronica with edm music. A particular emphasis will be placed upon bass music including glitch, juke, dubstep and tech house. For the first Bass Jam event we are going all out overloading the lineup with talent. The bill will feature jam / jamtronica bands playing back to back with some of Columbus' most jam friendly edm djs. This special combination of talent will undoubtedly produce a one of a kind experience. We hope you'll be a part of it.

JAHMAN BRAHMAN-
Jahman Brahman is a four-member collaboration originating from Columbus, Ohio in 2005. They currently reside in the mountains of Asheville, NC. The name Jahman Brahman emerged from the band’s goal to achieve ultimate musical cohesion: each instrument a facet of a single greater goal to deliver music from the heart of one. The band strives to leave the listener with thoughts of love, life, and the wonders experienced while being part of an extraordinary musical family.
Shred ‘N’ Flow is how Jahman Brahman describes their unique style, meaning dynamic sound with a wide breadth of influence, but a focus on rich and fluid progressions of energy. Each member's musical intuition and influences are unique. From Classic Rock to Electronica to Punk to Jazz, elements from many genres are found in the band's music. As a result the band pioneers new sounds as the coalescence of their diverse styles unfolds into powerful jams and creative compositions.
FREEKBOT featuriing Freekbass and Tobotius-
Born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, Freekbass was an only child who initially wanted to be a magician. He later developed his own obsession for cartoon superheroes and comic books, relating to the underlying themes. Living in Cincinnati exposed Freekbass to genres of music he may have missed otherwise. While most kids were listening to Nirvana and Green Day, he connected with the bottom-heavy sounds coming out of the boom boxes like Zapp and Midnight Star. While working in a music shop to pay off his first electric bass he had in lay-away, he began to study the classics of Larry Graham, Sly Stone, Stevie Wonder, Parliament and Bootsy with a bass in one hand, and an MPC2000 in the other.
Freekbass has released four full-length CDs, including the current “Junkyard Waltz” which includes guest appearances by Phish bassist Mike Gordon, guitarist Buckethead, keyboard wizard from P-Funk/Talking Heads Bernie Worrell, and is produced by funk legend Bootsy Collins. Also, national music DVD instruction company, The Rock House Method, recently released two Freekbass instructional DVDs “Learn Funk Bass with Freekbass (Level 1 & Level 2) ” . Last year Freekbass connected with DJ Logic, and Particle keyboardist Steve Molitz to form the funktronica trio, Headtronics. He also tours with the bass and DJ livetronica duo, “FREEKBOT”, with DJ Tobotius from the group Science Faxtion, and winners of the DMC DJ Championships, the Animal Crackers.
SKEETONES-
Skeetones bring a new generation of music to the Midwest’s electronic landscape. While production and sound design lay the foundation for songwriting, the music comes to life during the band’s energetic performances. From chopping acapella samples to wobbling bass lines, Skeetones create on-the-fly remixes of their own songs without using a single loop or backing track. They continue to utilize their multi-instrumentalist and improvisational foundation to create an organic mesh of dubstep, electro, hip hop, jazz, jam and more. They have shared stages throughout the Midwest with bands such as Pnuma Trio, Umphrey’s McGee, Flying Lotus, The Macpodz, Big Gigantic, and Papadosio. Known for their tireless work ethic and dedication to spreading their musical vision, Skeetones have quickly gained notoriety as one of the fastest rising bands in the Midwest.

BURGLE-
Burgle is the DJ/Producer alias of Eric Byrd. Coming out of Columbus OH, expect only the finest selections of dubstep / drumstep / dnb / house / juke at a Burgle set. A schizophrenic on the mixer, he knows what the crowd wants and gladly gives it to them but tries to work in as many new and fresh styles he can.

CARMA-
Carma / Attak are the combined force behind My Best Friends Party, a columbus ohio based event production co. They are dedicated to pushing the bounds of music. Lately this has entailed a unqiue take on glitch, dubstep, electro and bass music. They have opened for a vast array of cutting edge artists including Skrillex, Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, 12TH Planet, MSTRKRFT, Benny Benassi, David Guetta, Kid Sister, Porter Robinson, Liquid stranger, The Glitch Mob, Samples, Terravita, Nadastrom, Digiraatii, Hot Mess, Elfkowitz, EOTO, Crizzly, Ana Sia, Eprom, Epcot, Eliot Lipp, Getter, Minnesota and hopefully many more.
They have also put on many of those shows including 4 parties at FORT RAPIDS INDOOR WATER PARK AND RESORT. These were HEADLESS HORSEMANS (G)RAVE, DUBTUBBIN, SUMMER IN THE WINTER AND APRIL SHOWERS.
