Last time I was in Barley's Underground (the basement space) I think I was seeing Ishkabibble play, about a million years ago back when it was a live music venue.
Anyway, we hosted a staff party down there last night and I can't say enough good things about Barley's. We carry their beers and I've always been a huge fan of that part but their food was amazing and the staff was absolutely wonderful.
We ordered their smoked wings, pulled pork, other appetizers and sides, it was some of the best stuff I've eaten in ages. Mad kudos on their collard greens and wings. They still had the Christmas Ale on draught and that made us all very happy too.
I know people are always looking for private venues, this is my new favorite, a forgotten old favorite. I stopped drinking beer a while ago, last night I was glad to break this rule, their beers are truly the best in Columbus.
