Thank-you for coming Alex. I hope you and patient_zero got a happy bellyfull. Great picture of the boys with the Sacred Mallet and the Leaky Faucet.
OAngle, I got a belly full of great beer and food, mixed with great music, camaraderie and holiday cheer. It was a beautiful night, thanks to you and the rest of the Barley's staff, who were so friendly and accommodating all night. Chelsea our server was so nice all night, and really took care of our birthday boy alexs. He does so many good things for our local waterways, everything from removing invasive species to educational awareness, so it's a pleasure to see him served and honored on his birthday as he should be.
What a sweetheart Jeni was to make her chestnut ice cream for the kids. Andyman would be warmed by her generosity, as they held a special place in his heart every year. That ice cream was fantastic, by the way, paired with the crispy cake and ginger whipped cream.
The chicken paprikas I ordered off the new Barley's menu was outstanding as well, this coming from a German-Hungarian raised in Cleveland. And ahh yes, pierogies are still on the menu!
The Drowsy Lads sounded as great as ever, and were a perfect addition to an already festive night. They had the front of Barley's chanting and swaying at the end of the evening, something I captured on my cell phone at the last few minutes.
Happy 19th Barley's! Let's plan something big next year, for your 20th, and the city's 200th!
