Not only is Luck Bros. the best latte in town but the barista's do create some brilliant designs. NOt to mention that the creammy part that creates the artistic presentation is I think the best part of the drink in taste! shall be a good event

I'm sitting in Luck Brothers right now. Andy is SO excited about this event. The latte art throwdown is open to anyone who wants to compete as long as you pay the admission fee. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Ride:Well Bike Tour in the name of Josh McNeilly (last year's winner).

ROFL @ crimson cup being invited. I may know some inside info that makes it funny to me, but yeah Andy is a great guy so give him a call.
I just wish you could twitter over your order to Luck Bros. and have it ready cause at times even waiting the few minutes after ordering can be a lifetime when craving one of Andy's lattes or better yet one of their Iced Vietnamese treats.

I just remember riding my bike all over columbus that night and coming home around 4:30am and not being tired at all... I ended up forcing myself to go to bed and I slept until 9 and was still a bit caffeine buzzed when I woke up... Never hand an experience like that before or since..

This event was great. It was a good chance to sample espressos, cappuccinos and lattes made by my favorite baristas. Thanks Andy for putting this on... hope the next one happens soon..

Thanks for all of the kind words.
I hosted the barista jam to promote openness among Columbus coffee baristas, increase consumer awareness of specialty coffee, and encourage the hosting of more jams. I decided to put the jam together quickly so that it would happen rather than wither in the planning stages. I apologize to anyone that was not invited personally, feel free to contact me if you would like to be notified of future events and you will be. I am also happy to take suggestions for future jams I can make suggestions known to future hosts.
I've updated a web site with links to some great photos by George Faerber and Tim Albon. Kevin Cash won the latte art contest by earning 100% of the 1st place votes see it get poured here: Columbus Barista Jam. Jeff Davis is considering a jam in September so pressure him the next time you are in Cafe Brioso.

SO glad to see you've joined! Also extremely sorry I couldn't make it to the event. An event I was scheduled to assist in on Saturday was bumped to Sunday and I had to change my plans.
