But no one is getting any "smackdown" from Walker so this makes no sense whatsoever??Whenever I ask that *everyone* keep it civil, some people seem to interpret that as a very direct, personal, verbal beat down.
Civility is personally insulting to some people because it implies that they must resolve their own insecurities without resorting to blaming other people for them. Civility implies we are all responsible for our own desires and can't expect other people to create the world we want for us. Civility implies that we're all autonomous adults who help but don't enable each other. Civility is a muscle that needs to be practiced in order to work, and it's mutually exclusive from cryabeetus.
Back to the matter at hand, I actually miss Bristol. I miss when it was empty and I could go there, skulk in a corner, and avoid practicing civility :)
FYI, I personally like both of the folks who complained about being "smacked down". I like them very much! My comment, if anything, was more directed at myself. Or like... a general-purpose statement about civility.
