Got an email / press release from BalletMet this morning that they received some of that sweet sweet federal stimulus money:
BalletMet Columbus has received a $50,000 award through the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the federal economic stimulus package. BalletMet was the only Central Ohio arts organization to receive NEA Stimulus funds and one of only 12 recipients in the state from a pool of 149 applicants statewide. BalletMet’s stimulus funds will be used to help restore two Company dancer positions that were eliminated when the organization reduced its expenses for the 2010 fiscal year.
