Cafe Apropos in vic village has my vote - consistently awesome. But I want to see if I'm just playing JV here. Anybody got a better recommendation for a varsity latte?

LUCK Bros. hands down the best and most caring barista in town in owner Andy Luck. Not sure I will ever meet a fellow that has more info and passion for a good coffee.

Cup o' Joe at lennox.

I've already said this way too many times, but...
+1 Luck Bros. Good God.
Heavenly coffee utopia.
Also, I like when Sean at Touch of Earth in the Market makes me my coffee drinks. He is a gifted dude!

I do like Caffe Apropos, but I have to +1 the votes for Luck Bros. as the best.

Yes, it's an evil corporate chain, but the Starbucks soy latte with an extra shot has me stuck. With the vanilla soy, it tastes like chocolate...

Brioso..
Best coffee and best milk (Hartzler Dairy)... Go just before lunch and have JJ make it for you..
Also best espresso (my usual drink)

I'm not a latte guy, but the Cubano at Brioso is heavenly.

BTW. Luck Brothers is pretty awesome too. I've never had a bad drink there and Andy is a great guy.. I just think Brioso is better..certainly those are my top two and I like the atmosphere of Brioso much more but solely on coffee, I'm going with Luck Brothers.

Yeah, Idono. Perhaps for the daily cups(I don't get those very often), but for espresso (and latte when I get it), Brioso is my go to shop for the best...

I drink black coffee from Kick Start and love every sip...

I have noticed that Kickstart has been getting better, coffee-wise. Still not as good as Luck or Brioso, but all in all, I like hanging out there and the peeps are really nice.

They still have issues (the espresso today was a tad overextracted), but they are super nice and stock pattycake whoopie-pies, so all is forgiven...
(I also like their excellent cold-extracted coffee. Yum)

Tough question. We have some great coffee shops here. If you really like the flavor of coffee and want to experience something different, go to Staufs and get a Clover coffee with no cream and no sugar.
Clover is a type of machine that only brews one cup at a time. You pick your beans, they're ground fresh and brewed on the spot. The machines are no longer available to businesses b/c Starbucks bought the company. Staufs has the only machine in the state. Best cup of coffee I've ever had.

Stauf's!

Anybody know what the dealio is with the new place (travonna I think) coming to 5th and High (i.e. style of cafe, bean source, when it's opening etc)?
Please tell me it's being run by a legendary barrista that disappeared 10 years ago to go train with Buddhist latte-master monks in the Himalaya and has now come back to spread latte nirvana.
Sorry Apropos, if it's close to the same league you're in trouble because it will be 50% fewer steps from my house.
