Not columbus related, but I know some folks may have friends/family southeast and might not have heard about this yet...
Athens, Nelsonville, and the nearby areas were hit hard by the storms and tornadoes tonight. Fortunately only one fatality is reported (in Wood Co.). Several homes/businesses have been destroyed. A few hundred people are reported to be in emergency shelters. A lot of people are without power.
It might be a good idea to call any friends and family in this area to make sure they're ok.
