This was a really nice event. Thanks to the City, the Cultural Arts Center, the GCAC, Chase Bank, the Department of Parks and Rec, and all the volunteers who made it possible.
I suppose I was most struck by how inclusive the whole thing was. The wide range in age, ethnicity, and (at least by my perception) economic and social status among the attendees was something that's not always common at arts events in Columbus. It was also exciting to see so many people self-identify as artists. It's a good reminder that creativity in Columbus exists well beyond the 30 or 40 artists I know.
