Are there any restrictions in using cityscapes in commercial photography?
I really doubt there is anything against having any building in a commercial photograph but what if there is a company logo on the building? Also, what about pedestrian faces?
I have been having an interesting idea about an art project I want to take up and I am finally thinking about getting around to it. I just want to make sure that if I put in work and effort that I am not going to have to blur out anything after the fact.

My understanding is that people/places in public are exempt from a "right to privacy" when it comes to taking photos. I'm sure there are some exceptions to that statement, but I've used it as a general rule of thumb and it's never been a problem.
Besides... those company logos are put on those buildings for a reason... to be seen! ;)

Right up to the point you want to sell that photo, this is basically true :)
For a little further clarification though, if it's a big crowd of people that aren't even the focus of the photo, you're probably fine to just not worry about it. If it's a person, and they are the focus of the photo, you better get a release.
