This month's Art Explorations on August 13th from 1 to 2pm will feature Waste Not Center volunteer Brenda Beaty as she leads the young students in creating a work of art from their donated materials. The Waste Not Center reduces the burden on local solid waste sites by receiving donations of supplies that would otherwise be discarded and makes them available to teachers, artists and non-profit organizations for a nominal fee. Launched in August 2010, TheMetropreneur.com is a local online resource devoted to small business development and entrepreneurship. Its aim is to tell the stories of Central Ohio's business community, foster regional economic development and assist entrepreneurs with its resource-heavy focus.
