Has anyone watched Apocalypto yet? I knew there was a lot of media buzz when the movie came out and that it was generally well received and about ancient Mayans, but that's about it. Plus with Mel Gibson's recent craziness, I wasn't in a rush to see it.
I'd have to say it was pretty well done and quite entertaining. While it did seem pretty authentic, I guess there are some historical inaccuracies but as a movie it did a pretty good job. It can be a bit brutal/gory at times, but I guess we're used to that now with movies like Saw 1-3 and Hostel 1-2.
It kept me engaged throughout the film with few "slow" scenes. The plot was pretty good and the costumes were amazing. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out!
