I would say whatever you do, do NOT get Vista. Everytime I have to run Windows on my Mac Vista makes me want to strangle my computer. I can not get out of it fast enough.

Noted: XP sounds plenty adequate for running IE6-8, and is probably the best version of Windows that I'd be used to using anyways.
