I just walked by there today and there were like 6-7 people walking around their tiny lot checking out all the shiny new scooters (I have to admit, some of those things look cool as hell). They seem to be doing great business. I always see people walking around, checking out the scooters.
Times are definatelly a changin' :)

too bad the owner is a dick! we will NEVER go there for a single thing again. he "politely berated" my fiance on the phone telling her how "righteous" a deal we were getting on a FREE service that was covered by the warranty! not only that, but they failed to tell us the true cost of the service over the phone when we were told the scooter was ready for pick up. i get there, $30 more than we were told. "oh, yeah, we forgot to tell you about the pick up fee..." WTF, dude. lay off the pipe and run a business the proper way.
Rick, i thought you were cool before, but now i have no faith and will continue to downplay your service for the rest of my riding life.
R.I.P. Zoot Scoots - you will NOT be missed.

oh, and they "forgot" to put our rear-view mirrors back on and were to deliver them 2 days ago...still waiting.....

Couldn't agree more about the complete lack of service at Zoot Scoots (my bad experience was at the 5th Ave location.) I haven't been back since.
Kick Start is the way to go, at least for repairs, general merch, and caffeine . I have no experience with any of the new scooters Kick Start sells, so I can't speak for those.
