I'm interested in hiring some legal help (business matters, perhaps setting up a multi-owner LLC) butâ€â€for various reasonsâ€â€I'd like to work with someone who's interested in representing local creatives. Artists, designers, etc.

It wouldn't only be for that purpose (I'm generally just interested in est. a relationship w/a good lawyer) but… I've been advised that single-owner LLCs are trivially easy to set up, but multi-owner ones are tricky enough that legal representation is in everyone's best interest.
What I'm thinking of is even a little more complicated yet... it's like a multi-owner, but allowing for owners to rotate in and out if the need arises. (It's all very ill-formed in my headâ€â€hence my desire to suss it out with a lawyer!)

Not to take anything away from looking for recommendations on an Internet message board, but you might want to call your local bar association ... or, better yet, other people you may know who've set up an LLC in the past. Setting one up isn't too hard, but you'd still probably be better off going to a lawyer whose practice encompasses that kind of thing on at least a somewhat periodic basis. (I doubt you'll find anyone who does it full time ... no one can just sit back and incorporate new businesses all day, sad to say.)

Having your LLC setup properly is worth it (with multiple owners it can be more complex then just 'checking the box') depending on how you want it structured, i.e. more like a corp. or more like a partnership and then of course in your situation how people exit and enter. Shouldn't be to much of a task to get done, but its worth doing right to prevent problems down the road (of course everyone is happy and getting along when you start the company). If I run into anyone who is interested i'll mention your post (I can't do it myself due to being a state's attorney) but being an attorney means most of my friends are attorneys (which of course sucks)
