If anyone knows, I'll be all ears

It's not Chicago style, but we discovered some good pizza at Carfagna's Kitchen (related to the grocery store) up on Polaris Rd.

Wholly Joe's makes both thin and thick crust Chi-style pizza, Chicago dogs and Italian beef (the Chicago trinity of junk food). I'm a vegetarian, so I can only speak for the pizza, which is excellent. However, my carnivorous South Side family loves everything they make.

Thanks for the suggestions
I'll probably stop by Wholly Joe's tomorrow or somethingPosted 1 year ago # -
Wholly Joe's is a great place! I know Joe well, great guy. Call ahead for the pizza. It takes a good 45 minutes to make a pizza.

I have to disagree pretty strongly on the quality of Wholly Joe's "Chicago style" pizza. See my previous review here:

I am assuming by "Chicago Style" You mean stuffed and not deep dish (Like "wholly joe's or Pizzaria Uno. The only place in COLUMBUS as a whole I know to get that is a place in GroveTucky called...

It's definitely a deep dish pizza, which is always a mess. I always preferred stuffed crust to deep dish, but nobody outside of the Tri-State area knows what stuffed crust pizza is. About 95% of the pizza I've eaten, both in Chicago and at Wholly Joe's is thin crust. The quality of WJ's deep dish is also substantially better than that of Fabian's in the Short North.

http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Tristanos.Pizzeria.614-875-5509Tristanos is amazing. Great atmosphere, and they stock some killer microbrews. The guy who owns it/runs it is from Chicago and worked in all those pizza houses learning the trade. Its worht the drive from anywhere in this city, and is the most authentic Chicago pizza Ive had outside Chicago

Tristano's is conveniently located about a block from my parents house. Since my introduction from Hungrywolf a few months ago, I think I've had about five stuffed crust pies. It's near historic Grove City in what used to be an old Lutheran church (which looks more like a house now), has a nice patio and good beer on draft too. Good stuff - check it out.

It' son the other end of town, but Bari Pizzaria at Hall and Galloway Rds does a nice Chicago deep dish and stuffed pizza, too (good NY style also!). it'll take an hour to make your deep dish/stuffed pizza but they'll call you 10 minutes before it's done if you're picking it up. Pick-up, Delivery & limited dining (2 tables, no restrooms) & the Multi-cade arcade game (lots of vintage vid games on one machine!)
I'm pretty partial to this pizza and travel 20-25 minutes to pick it up.
