Animation is a big room rave style club night. What we do at Bristol is an intimate lounge night. The music at Bristol tends to be deeper whereas Animation is a dance-till-you-sweat-rave-out!
Bristol = Acid Jazz, Trip-Hop, Funk, Deep House, Liquid D&B, Minimal Techno
Animation = Techno, Progressive House, Electro House, Acid House

With Bristol, how deep the music is depends on the week you go. We try to rotate all the great local DJ's through Bristol Saturdays, so the music format changes a bit week to week. The music at Bristol tends to work for a listener as much as a dancer, whereas Animation's music is definitely dance floor oriented. If you need EDM on a weekly basis like I do, come to Bristol on Saturdays. People are always dancing by 12:45. The crowd is very diverse so we spend more time easing into the dance music then we would at a dance club. Expect house music right at 10 pm at Animation.
