Our Off the Menu series recognizes the fact that consumers bear some responsibility for what ends up on the plate at restaurants. We offer chefs an audience for the food that they're most passionate aboutâ€â€whether it's ultra-traditional, experimental, cutting-edge, or just the sort of thing that lights up a food geek’s eyes.
We are very excited to announce our next Off the Menu event, An Offal Evening at Basi, on April 6th, 2011. John Dornback, owner and chef of Basi Italia, is a longtime friend of Slow Food Columbus and a passionate supporter of local foods. Johnny and his team are bringing an exciting menu of offal meats to diners, highlighting the rich and delicious flavors of organ meats. With a seven-course tasting menu featuring sweetbreads, cheeks, monkfish liver, bone marrow and more, this is a rare opportunity to experience unique, and often overlooked, flavors.
Reserve your space at this unique event now.
