You know what's made this season EVEN BETTER than the others?
Previously they'd only do the sappy backhistory, why they should be a star bios on like 99% great performers who were pretty sure to get into the finale...
Not so much now. Now, they do a huge like 5 minute bio/get attached moment on someone who goes in...and SUCKS!
Love it.

OH MY GAWD! I totally forgot about that guy. I have a really bad cold right now, and i laughed so hard that i started to cough uncontrollably for like 10 minutes. Coughed so hard i was seeing those little flashing stars all around my eyes ;)

I think they do make the last pick controversial on purpose. They at least made it look like the person that got cut was the one that was better than the other.

I liked the beatbox group thing too...thought they were pretty good as a group. I also thought that their little N*SYNC was lacking a Justin Timberlake. By that I mean that noone really stood out from the rest except for the beatbox guy....but guess what...this ain't a beatbox contest.

This is because, as a whole, American Idol is not a talent competition, it's a popularity contest.
The talent contest ends as soon as the viewer polls begin....from there on out the only thing that matters is who gets people to like them more.
