I just heard on NPR that Robert Altman died. Amazing director, to say the least. My favorite was The Long Goodbye, arguably the best movie with P.I. Phillip Marlowe.
Anybody else have a favorite?

I have to admit, I think I've only ever seen two of his movies... Gosford Park, and Popeye. I'd say Gosford Park was the better of the two.
I've been wanting to see A Prairie Home Companion though. Maybe I'll get around to that one soon.
