Some regulars were in last night after 3 for $30 at The Top. They could not stop gushing about the amount of food& how good it was. They highly recommend it for the deal this week (and they work in one of the best restaurants in town!).
I am feeling overwhelmed- too many choices ahhhh! Such a great promotion!

Went to Burgundy Room [because Mondays are also market price wine night!] Their fixed-price menu was great, and they were effortlessly accommodating to vegetarians.
Our server mentioned that they underestimated the amount of people coming in for this, they were running out of desserts.

We did the corned beef flight for two at Katzinger's last night. Three small sandwiches, a cup of potato salad, a super-rich chocolate brownie, a fountain soda and two pickles for under $10.
I'm a big fan of corned beef and pastrami but I don't like rye bread and I'm not crazy about slaw on sandwiches, so I figured it was a good opportunity to challenge myself without laying out a ton of cash.

Today should be a tasty day for me. Katzinger's for lunch, Pistacia Vera for mid-afternoon treat, and Banana Bean Cafe for dinner.
If my experience at G. Michael's is any indicator of what we have to look forward to everywhere, it's going to be a wonderful week. I haven't heard anything but good reviews through the grapevine.
But most importantly, I'm hoping it's been a successful venture for the restaurants involved. I'm really hoping that many of them will choose to adopt a price fixed menu even after Restaurant Week is over.
Will be posting live on Twitter this afternoon and evening, and then will do a roundup of my day tonight. :)

Went to Surly Girl last night. I got the salad to start (nice and big!) and the pizza (the cranberries/pecan/gorgonzola/onion topping was a pretty sweet, but tasty). My fiance got the frito pie and SW mac & cheese. Both were great, but made for a rich meal! Not a big desert person so I liked that you could opt for a beer instead. Great deal for $15/person.
Can't wait for our reservations at G Micheal's and Barcelona later this week!

Just got back from dinner @ Luce Enoteca. First time at the place - I didn't even know it was up there, so score one for Restaurant Week right there.
The menu was good - first course my wife & I both had the Tomato Bisque w/ pesto and goat cheese crustini. Very tasty, but given the warmer weather, I should've opted for the salad instead, since it sounded good too.
For the main course, I had the Smoked Shrimp Risotto, and she had the Lamb Chops & Cassoulet. Both were excellent, and both were VERY filling - leaving not much room for dessert. I had the "Chocolate Decadence" and she had the Raspberry Tart. The tart was way too tart for my liking, but I'm not really a fan of that intense lemony flavor anyway, so I'm not a great judge - my wife really enjoyed it. The Chocolate Decadence layer cake was very tasty.
Good meal, and a very good deal, even at $30/person.

We dined at The Top last night and it was fantastic. Neither of us had ever been there before, but I will definitely go back. I tried some of Jim's prime rib and my eyes about exploded out of my head. How have I been missing out on that my whole life?!? Dessert was super yummy too. He got the chocolate cake and I got the ice cream with chocolate sauce and berries and just shared both. I never order desserts in restaurants so that will be a nice treat this week. Next up, The Refectory, can't wait!
