Actors' Theatre of Columbus, a GVBC and PPSCE member, is looking for several volunteers with experience in the field of marketing, communications and project management to contribute to the success of its upcoming 2012 summer season. Duties would include helping to: (1) identify and coordinate music, dance, and other types of performing artists who would be available to perform prior to the start of each play; (2) find sponsors for special events; (3) post information about upcoming plays on electronic media calendars and Facebook; and (4) distribute posters and brochures in community gathering spots in and around German Village to promote the season.
These activities are expected to take on average 10 hours a week and are flexible. Volunteers may work from home. Applicants need to have marketing and communication skills, be comfortable using electronic media, be able to write and proof, have good organizational skills, and have access to a computer.
Actors' Theatre is launching its 31st season of free classical theatre in Schiller Park. We have an exciting lineup this year: Robin Hood, The Merchant of Venice, and the screwball comedy, The Servant of Two Masters.
