Just drove by this place today, had never seen it chattered about here. Has anyone been?

also I did have a few "warm up" tamales at Taquikin on Morse for lunch.

Actually, I've been there, got a review for them pending.
In short, stick with Dirty Franks or Village Coney for the hot dogs, but Acme's got decent fair food.
I've been up there too. I was enticed by a picture of the bacon wrapped hot dog. It's an awfully long haul up there from downtown. I probably wouldn't make the trip again. But if I lived up that way, I'd go back.
It's been a while, and I can't remember the other dog I had while I was there. They have all the topics you can pick from, or if you're not feeling creative, there's a set of suggested dogs to try.
I went about a year ago...haven't been back and I live just around the corner. Overpriced, and it just wasn't good. I've been to 4 hot dog joints in town... Dirty Franks > Wholly Joes > The Dog Joint > Acme.

Is The Dog Joint the one in Westerville? If so, we've been there too and have got a review pending. They're not bad, either.
Out of all the dog joints I've been to in town, here's where they fall for me: Dirty Frank's & Village Coney (tie), Johnnie's, Super Dogos (hot dog truck), Wholly Joe's, The Dog Joint, Acme Hot Dog, and George's (never again). I wish Windy City Grille were still around, they were good while they lasted.
But a big +1 on the overpriced dogs at Acme. And I could barely tolerate the owner, who hovered over me during my entire meal and wouldn't let me eat in peace.
ETA: Anyone else been to O'Betty's in Athens? Loved that place.
Yep, the Dog Joint is in Westerville. They also didn't have an option for a jumbo dog, and although they had a ton of flavors for shakes, they use syrup to get the flavor, which IMHO sucks. I had the black cherry, my son had the german chocolate, and a friend had peach. Tons of squirts of the syrup, and you could tell...
Wiener wonders lure frank fans

The Columbus Dispatch

Northeast of the old Northland Mall, the Acme Hotdog & Sausage Co. has weathered the economic downturn by staking out a claim to franks - high-end as franks go but low-priced compared with other restaurant food.
The most expensive item was created for an ongoing contest - the Double Dog Dare.
The heart of the behemoth: two quarter-pound hot dogs. They're joined by a chicken tender, four mozzarella sticks, sauces and coleslaw.
