This has been reported in several locations, but Square Enix of Final Fantasy fame is set to buy Eidos, British makers of Tomb Raiders and other games if the shareholders approve it next month. Unfortunately Square is hurting themselves since they are delaying the next Dragon Quest. How Star Ocean, which came out Tuesday on the 360, sells will be interesting to watch considering their last few ventures in the next generation consoles have not gone over very well-Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery.

Too bad I was really liking the changes they've made to the franchise in the 2-3 games starting with TR:Legend.
They finally fixed the control scheme, made the game so much more playable (and easier I suppose)I really doubt Squenix can do better. Action games aren't really their thing and their art style wouldn't suit TR very naturally.
