Never allow your phone number to be attached to a police report for a traffic accident.
I have had over 20 phone calls today from lawyers and chiropractors and they continue to roll in about every 8-10 minutes. Shouldn't the Do Not Call registry apply to this situation??
I got so fed up with it that I finally ended up turning off my phone ringer which caused me to miss a FedEx package delivery because they weren't able to contact me so that I could buzz them in.

I usually change my outgoing message to say something along the lines of, "if this is regarding _____ , I will call you back immediately. If you're a lawyer, chiropractor, body shop or are calling regarding the accident, do not leave a message, I will not call you back."
I think only two were ballsy enough to leave a message.
But, public records totally suck and I dread the day after some twat rear-ends me.

i know! when that happened to me and the chiro types would say "have you experienced any back or neck pain?" i would say "you know, now that you mention it, i have" and they would say "really?!" and i would say "no" and laugh. they would hang up on me.

Yeah, I made that mistake too. Next day, I couldn't keep track of how many chiropractors' offices called my phone. I just used one of them to send me a copy of the accident report.
Oh, and if you're actually getting a call from a lawyer, report them to the state bar. It's against the professional rules for attorneys to solicit clients by phone.

i am very tempted right now to get into an accident just so i can get a kevin kurgis air freshener. i wonder if i went down to his office if he would have a box lying around or something, thatd be my christmas shopping done! :D

It was about 6 years ago that I got the air fresher lol So they may have switched it up , mouse pad? lol
A friend of mine was in a fender bender a few weeks back she asked me where she should go to get a copy of her police report. I told her just watch the mail you'll get a stack.
