We are having Reduction again! This time we are located between Little Palace and Dirty Franks on S. 4th St. downtown.
The sale runs Saturday from 12-5 Saturday March 26th (but most of us will be up and open by 11). Little Palace is opening early in support of the event too!

Reduction Brings Retail Downtown for a Weekend

All of the best shopping deals of the Short North are going to be relocated into Downtown tomorrow for a one-day seven-hour clearance sale. Reduction is the semi-annual retail event where a group of local independent boutique shops clear out their seasonal inventory.

Ã¢â‚¬Å“WeÃ¢â‚¬â„¢re all getting our spring and summer shipments in right now, but our fall and winter stuff is still seasonably appropriate,Ã¢â‚¬Â explained Josh Quinn, Owner of Tigertree. Ã¢â‚¬Å“So we do huge markdowns to make space in our shops.Ã¢â‚¬Â

This was a bit of a mess...
I was down there early, thinkin Dirty Franks or TLP would take advantage of the early traffic and open early, but they didn't. Think they missed out big on that one.
The location was way too small, and vendors seemed a little late getting there to set up.
Folks were lined up around the corner, in the cold, and there seems to be some confusion over the start time. Opened around 11:25, I'd say.
It was claustrophobic as hell in there, and I would have tried to shop longer for my girl, but I'm pretty sure I nearly lost a few fingers daring to look through the women's racks.

That being said, since I got there early, I got a sweet deal on jeans and a saddle from Paradise Garage, a cool shirt from Homage, and did manage to get my girl some dope sneakers from repertoire.
I had to get out, though, because it was getting ridiculous, and there had to be at least 150 people waiting to get in...

Next year, might I suggest teaming up with the Dude Locker?
You needed the space, y'all.

Yeah, it got a little out of hand this year. We weren't really anticipating the huge drop in the temperature either... I am still glad we get to have so much energy concentrated in a downtown space though.
