Early in 1974, Martin Lucka, a 17 year old senior at Whetstone High School, bought this Camaro for $1,800 from the original owner’s father. The family lived on Blenheim Road, Columbus, Ohio. The original owner was supposedly in Vietnam and told his father to sell the car for him. While getting fuel at Cheeseman’s Sunco on Indianola Avenue, Martin’s good friend, Steve Easter, noticed the car
Jack purchased the car in approximately 1975 for $700 from Jay Morris of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Jay purchased the car from First Knox Bank in Mt. Vernon as it was a repossession car for $500.
Jack is an old drag racer from the 60’s - 70’s. He campaigned the car in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana over an 8 year period.
Tom purchased the car from Jack Rheinsheld of Mt. Vernon, Ohio in 1980.Tom had the car painted back to Hugger Orange in Pataskala, Ohio.
the Camaro then ended up in Kentucky,and was brought back to Columbus,Ohio in 1984.
in 2006,the car was professionally restored at a restoration shop in Colorado.
