I might ask the guys at Bodega. I know them to be very soccer friendly and I'm told that a lot of the younger guys from the Crew go there to watch matches.
I know I'll not be going to EG.

Eddie George's will be opening at 10:00 for the Games and Park Street Cantina will open at 2:00 on game days !That's rich that Eddie George's has now decided that they're interested in getting soccer fans' business. Cute.
We tried to go there a couple of weeks ago to watch the Champions League final. It was a Tuesday afternoon, there were about 30 people who came to watch, and no more than 5 other customers in the whole place. They refused to turn on the sound from the Top 40 pop that played, or to turn more than 1 TV in the whole place to the game. People requested to speak to the manager but the request was rejected on numerous occasions. Per the bartenders, the TVs could not be changed because the programming was "set by regional management."
A truly miserable experience, and I'd highly suggest that all World Cup fans go elsewhere. (We left at half time and went to Claddaghs.) Otherwise, you may find 50 people clustered round 1 TV in the corner, while the San Diego Padres play the Florida Marlins on 10 TVs to no one in particular, all while listening to Ke$ha.
Bravo sir or madam, bravo! :)
Studio35 was awesome for USA v. England on Saturday. It was SRO by kickoff, but beer lines were short, and it was great to bike up there with the 4 kids I had in tow. They plan to have every game on the screen for the duration.
Crew Stadium has quite an amazing scene too.
Word on the 'Tubes is that the Claddagh management either was fired or walked out in some sort of brouhaha over the World Cup party there over the weekend. Does anyone have any further details?

(Answering my own question) Patrick Guldan has more info here on An American Game:
I didn't notice anything like that when we were there.
We were in the Northeast side room and there were basically two people handling the room. I thought they did a great job and easily had the room handled. The longest we ever waited for a drink was maybe three minutes and they were very friendly. Especially for being so overwhelmed.
man, what sad sad day for soccer in Columbus! Craig and company did such a great job! I can imagine where I'll watch, now (or have bloody marys). heard that Monty is at Fado.
Off to Jimmy V's in German Village to watch USA v. Algeria.
