As an avid golfer and golf fan, I'm really looking forward to the start of the PGA Tour season, which starts tomorrrow afternoon in Hawaii. Despite the absence of Tiger Woods (who knows when he will choose to return to tournament golf) and the impact of the global recession, it should be a great year for golf. The majors are going to be held at iconic courses (Augusta National, Pebble Beach and the Old Course at St. Andrews). Plus, it's a Ryder Cup year, and that's always a great way to close out the golf season.
More than anything else, the start of the PGA Tour makes me wish for a quick end to winter so I can start playing at my home course once again.
