While their restaurants did not make the national "best of" list from the James Beard Foundation, two area chefs have been named among the best in the region: Kent Rigsby of his namesake restaurant, and Magdiale Wolmark of Dragonly Neo-V Cuisine.
Cleveland had a few winners as well: Zack Bruell of Parallax; Eric Williams of Momocho.
In addition, Jonathon Sawyer of The Greenhouse Tavern in Cleveland was named one of the rising chefs of the year nationally.
And Cory Barrett of Lola in Cleveland was named one of the nation's best pastry chefs.
Congratulations to all the Ohioans listed!
