What is a Supplemental Rollback? I am just a little confused. Has anyone done this? What happens if you do?

Looks like what we had in Chicago.
If it was your primary residence and you had live in it since the beginning of the year you got a tax break of about 5%.
Why wouldn't you fill it out?
Isn't it automatic? You can look at your property listing on the auditor's site to see if you're enrolled for it or not. We are, but didn't fill out a form or anything.
I think it only applies to
"The homestead exemption is an additional reduction for all homeowners age 65 and older and all totally and permanently disabled homeowners who owned and occupied their home as their principal place of residence on January 1 of the year they file for the reduction. "
No... I called yesterday, because I happened to see the forms on the auditor's site too. The homestead exemption is different from the rollback... people over 65 can qualify for both.
Joev... thanks for that information. I did look on the auditor's site. I never sent in any paperwork, but it looks like I got the rollback.
MissKitty, if you check the listing for your house, there is a box that shows whether you got the rollback or not last year under the Tax box.
