p.s. It was kids around this same age playing "Knockout" that killed the guy in the west side bar parking lot a year ago or so.

Facetious....no.
I'd rather not be a victim to the whims of some punk. I'm guessing if you follow these youths to adulthood, they won't become shining pillars of the community or cure cancer or aids or anything. They'll just be drains on society. So really, what's the big loss?
Besides, you can't even have concealed weapons in the park, so what good would it really do you?

Try explaining to CPD why you shot a kid, even in the leg.
People talking about concealed carry should first understand what its purpose is and when you should fire upon someone. Basically the criteria is that you have to be in fear for your life (or protecting someone else's).
Core, I don't think I'm familiar with the incident you're referring to. What is "knockout?"

Some of those kids are probably pretty bad. I doubt they're all 100% hardened career-path criminals that deserve to die, however.
FYI, the thing for any punk kid to do is claim they're a member of a well-known street gang. The odds on it being true are slim.

So this opening really equates to is: "Schiller Park allows black people to feel welcome in the neighborhood. And boy what a mistake THAT turned out to be!"
What does the Dispatch want? A big sign at the edge of German Village saying "black kids turn back now!"?

C'mon man, everyone knows you shoot to kill, not wound. Wound and you get sued into oblivion!
If someone doesn't understand what the purpose of concealed carry is, they probably don't have one.....
