THE DREXEL THEATRE presents a special screening of 100 Voices: A Journey Home Tuesday, January 31, 7:30 pm
Drexel Theatre (2254 E. Main St.)
Screened at the 2012 New York Jewish Film Festival, 100 Voices: A Journey Home is a compelling and moving musical documentary that uniquely tells the history of Jewish culture in Poland. It highlights the current resurgence of Jewish culture through the personal reflections and musical selections of a group of cantors, and acclaimed composer Charles Fox who made an important historical mission to the birthplace of Cantorial music. The documentary will give generations the opportunity to learn about and re-embrace the Jewish culture that produced one of the most artistic and educated societies that once flourished in Europe. Above all, the film celebrates the resilience and power of Jewish life, while telling the story of two peoples—Polish and Jewish—who shared intertwined cultures. Tickets are $7.50 ($6.50 for students and seniors) and include admission to both the film and the post-screening Q&A. Tickets can be purchased by phone at (614) 231-1050, at http://www.Drexel.net, or at the Drexel Theatre box office (2254 E. Main St.).
