Hey all.
This Friday (10/2) is the annual Treehouse Homecoming Party. Basically, we mock actual high school homecoming with a night of dressin up in terrible 60s-90s prom and homecoming suits and get drunk to songs that are either from those types of dances or just hilariously bad. But that's just the DJ portion...
We also do a Battle of the Bands where we take a buncha Columbus musicians, get them to put their name in a hat and we form bands for the night. Each "band" (you might have 3 drummers and a bassist!) then picks a name and learns 2 cover songs (we give em sheet music/tabs) and they perform. And they will sound like the worst high school practice-in-mom's-garage band ever. It's hilarious.
The other listing on this board for the week's events is wrong - Cover is $5 or $2 if you wear your best Napoleon Dynamite gear (ugly suit or big poofy sleeves is poifect!), but trust me, these parties are killer.
Hope to see you there! I'll be wearing a tie that would make Beck jealous, so come say hey.
