Ohio Art League Membership Drive : 1 Month, 100 Members
One month to spread the word that big plans are in the works at the Ohio Art League. One month to share our excitement about what's in store for 2008. One month to tell every artist, enthusiast, and supporter in the state of Ohio that it's never been a better time to be a part of OAL.

In the first two days I think we got to about 20....
The fun thing about this is that everyone that signs up... gets a button with the number they are in the list of 100... so you can tell exactly how much further you pushed up our membership.
My hope is that the organization will be 1000 strong by the time OAL turns 100 years old in 2009!

I have heard that the sign ups are rolling in. I'm glad to hear that some people are even signing up as larger donors.

i'm going to rejoin if i can scrape together $50 by the end of the month. i think oal is a great asset to the iacotw. i would like to be more involved in it this go around.

Our hope is that we can start listening even more to the people working in the IAC and start finding out how we might support what they do... even partner with them on projects and provide support through our programming and marketing.
I know they would be glad to send notices out about Spark! with their opportunities if you become a member.
We are also revamping our monthly member newsletter to promote upcoming events to our list of people... and trying to push enthusiasts toward events that are happening in the art community.
It is a good time to join!

I received over 20 emails and private messages about this overnight....
I am pretty excited to see how much interest there is in the OAL.
After four days or our drive to a hundred I think we are more than a quarter of the way...
And despite the fact that I am beginning to feel like Jerry Lewis.... I am really enjoying answering questions and getting people to hear about the benefits of signing up.

I think another good idea would be having people who know and appreciate the value of the group introduce their friends to the organization with a gift.
Is it possible to gift a membership to someone? As a member, gifting a membership to someone who might not otherwise join is a great way to contribute to that person and to help them see the value of the membership.

Over the past 15 days, the Ohio Art League has held the first half of its membership drive. The intention of the drive is to bring in 100 new members in 1 month.
We are pleased to say, that over the past 15 days, we have moved well beyond the half way point in new memberships. We have the opportunity to reach 150% of our goal based on our current numbers.
We are happy so many have joined so quick. We are looking forward to your involvement in our activities, as well as hearing from you about how the OAL might become the best arts organization in the country.
Now we ask that you pass along the enthusiasm. Let every artist and enthusiast know how to become part of what is going on.

With four days left in the membership drive... we need only 9 more people to join!
This drive has been amazing, and the feedback from new members on how to improve what we do has been great.
My only question is who will be the lucky number 100?
We are also devising a plan to create an opportunity for the 100 new members to participate immediately.
Also, March 20th we are having a membership meet up at a new, secret bar on park street to show our appreciation. We will be showing slides of every piece submitted to our Spring Juried Exhibition before jurying. I believe there were over 300 pieces submitted.
